Consideration for approval of amendment no. 2 an increase of $74,312.50 to the professional services contract with Slay Architecture, Laredo, Texas, for the Barbara Fasken Community Center Pool and Amenities. This Amendment No. 2 is to provide architectural and engineering services for the proposed swimming pool. Current contract amount with this amendment is $193,962.50. Funding is available in the 2025 Certificate of Obligation Bond.

PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
On October 7, 2019, City Council approved of Amendment No. 1 an increase of $33,350.00 to the professional services contract with Slay Architecture, Laredo, Texas, for the Barbara Fasken Community Center. This Amendment No. 1 is to incorporate Cortes Studio into the project scope of work for the design of the Tree House. Consultant is providing credits for the original treehouse design and parking lot section. Current contract amount with this amendment is $119,650.00. Funding is available in the 2017 CO- District VII Priority Funds - Project # D71830.
On July 1, 2019, City Council awarded a professional services contract to Slay Engineering Company, Inc., Laredo, Texas, for an amount not to exceed $86,300.00 for the Barbara Fasken Community Center to include a public special purpose outdoor swimming pool to provide recreational and instructional activities, a kid's tree house, a natural feature, lighting, cameras, and other amenities located at 15201 Cerralvo Drive.
