On March 20, 2023, Council approved Ordinance 2023-O-052.

 

BACKGROUND

The Texas Department of State Health Services contracts with the City of Laredo to provide public health services through the City of Laredo Public Health Department. Through this partnership, the health department will ensure authentic community engagement is targeted in communities disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 and be able to build sustainable relationships in those targeted communities by establishing rapport, developing relationships, listening and documenting voices in the community and engaging and developing cross- sectional partnerships.
