BACKGROUND

The purpose of the State Crisis Intervention Grant Program FY2027 funding announcement is for projects that promote the prevention, intervention, and reduction of crime and violence and provide essential crisis services to at-risk populations within Texas communities.

Federal Funds are authorized under the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act established by S. 2938 to the Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program (Byrne SCIP).  All awards are subject to the availability of appropriated federal funds and any modifications or additional requirements that may be imposed by law.  This grant does not require a local match.
