During the August 4, 2025 Council Meeting, resolution 2025-R-200 was passed allowing for the City Manager to initiate a proposal for RFP for a Comprehensive Salary, Benefits, Retirement, and Operational Study for the City of Laredo’s Professional Police & Fire Uniformed Personnel with contract not to exceed $225,000.
BACKGROUND
The City of Laredo solicited a formal RFP through Cit-E-Bid. FY25-087 was opened to receive bids on August 30, 2025 and closed on September 22, 2025. A total of 5 electronic bids were received and no in-person bids were submitted. Evaluation committee scored all received bids by September 30, 2025. Contract FY25-087 shall be awarded to the vendor (To Be Announced at Oct. 6th, 2025 City Council Meeting) to provide a comprehensive salary, benefits, retirement, and operational study for the City of Laredo Professional Police and Fire uniformed personnel. The contract amount should not exceed $225,000.00. This study shall be concluded in about 120 days from notice to proceed, as approved by City Council and upon mutual agreement of the parties.
