PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
On April 20, 2026, City Council approved the selection of the top ranked consultant for the RFQ FY26-ENG-16 Pedestrian Bridge Structure from Father McNaboe Park to Barbara Fasken Recreational Center; and authorization to negotiate a professional services contract. A total of (5) firms responded to the request for qualifications on Thursday, February 12, 2026, and the top (3) firms presented on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. The committee recommends the selection of top ranked consultant RAVA Construction, LLC, Houston, Texas. There is no financial impact at this time.
BACKGROUND
The proposed Phase 1 services will establish the preferred bridge concept and provide the preliminary engineering needed to move the project forward. Services include project management, topographic survey, geotechnical investigation, environmental review, hydraulic and hydrologic analysis, and development of up to three bridge alternatives for City review. Phase 1 will also include a conceptual design and 30% construction plans.
