BACKGROUND

The National Community Development Association - Region VI Southwest's goal is the continuing involvement and participation of Community Development Directors and staff of NCDA Region VI Southwest Entitlement Communities in order to foster and promote the programs of the National Community Development Association.  The NCDA Region VI's objective is the attainment of sound communities through the process of development, conservation, rehabilitation and redevelopment.  NCDA Region VI represents local governments in a five state area (Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Louisiana and Arkansas) that are striving for the necessary knowledge and skills for more effective community development.

Community Development Department submitted a proposal to become the host of the NCDA Region VI Annual Conference 2025. This event is anticipated to attract over 70 individuals from 5 different states.
