BACKGROUND
The current Laredo Bridge System network switches and access points have been in production since October 2013. Current network switches and access points have reached their typical life cycle and will be reaching manufacturer end of support in the next months. Laredo Bridge System relies on this network infrastructure to be able to connect devices, computers, servers and peripherals in the Bridge and Toll networks. These network switches interconnect between local area and wide area networks that allows the continued and efficient operation of the Toll and Bridge System. The Laredo Bridge System relies on its network for the electronic toll collection that allows expeditious bridge crossings at the four international bridges.
