A resolution of the City Council of the city of Laredo, Texas ratifying authorization of the City Manager to enter into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Fiber2Go Corporation to join the south Texas Broadband Coalition and submit a grant application to the Texas Broadband Development Office for the 2025 Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Grant Program in the amount of $13,174,729.00 for design, deployment, and activation of broadband infrastructure to unserved and underserved communities in the city. Grant program requires local match not to exceed $3,293,683.00, or 25% of total project costs. A match waiver for potential partial or total waiver of the federal match requirement will be submitted at the time of application. If required, local match is subject to budget availability.
