BACKGROUND
On August 15, 2022, City Council approved awarding a service contract FY22-059 to Sports Facilities Companies, Clearwater, FL, for $415,000.00. This contract includes the initial phase of planning, design and management as well as Phase I of design and build of the Buena Vista Sports Complex. Sports Facilities Companies shall advise the City and the City's consultant throughout the design, construction, pre-opening process of the Buena Vista Sports Complex. This firm will be responsible for marketing, booking the facility(s) starting / during the construction process, securing uses; providing for a maintenance plan, establishing an operational management plan and building economic development opportunities for the community. Contract award of Phase II to manage, coordinate, operate and maintain for the City's sports complex will be awarded when the construction is complete. Funding is available in the Sports and Community Venue Fund.
