The City of Laredo Mayor and City Council proudly recognizes Jan Jimenez, a ninth-grade student at Harmony School of Excellence–Laredo, for his outstanding achievement in soccer. Jan recently participated in the Allstate Sueño Alianza tryouts in Austin, Texas, a national scouting program that provides young Hispanic athletes opportunities to showcase their talents to professional and collegiate scouts. As a goalkeeper, Jan successfully advanced through two rounds of the selection process and now awaits the recruitment process in September. His achievement reflects his hard work, discipline, and dedication to the sport.
