The final construction contract amount is $738,802.07. Funding is available in the 2022 Certificate of Obligation Bond.

PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
On August 4, 2025, City Council approved to award a professional service contract to Hellas Construction Inc., Cedar Park, Texas for the George Pappas Tennis Courts Overlay Rebid Project in response to RFP FY24-ENG-25 for the amount of $745,981.00 for the total base bid minus deductive alternate #3. The contract includes all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required for completion of the project. The total construction contract time shall not exceed 90 working days from the issuance of the notice to proceed. Funding is available in the 2022 Certificate of Obligation Bond.

Summary of alignment:
This project entails the resurfacing and repainting of the George Pappas Tennis Courts located at 1300 Market St, Laredo, TX 78040. It is a total of nine tennis courts and includes the placement of new concrete, new playing surface, new paint scheme. Contractor will also remove, repaint, and replace the fence frame and any missing hardware. New netting, center straps, and net posts will be provided and installed.
Construction contract time for the project is ninety (90) working days.
