An ordinance of the City of Laredo, Texas, concerning a voluntary annexation request by Alejandro Ramos, on behalf of North Laredo Industrial Park, Ltd., altering and extending the boundary limits of City of Laredo to annex approximately 275.67 acres of land, more or less, located west of IH-35, north of Beltway Parkway, and south of Reuthinger Parkway; providing for the effective date of the ordinance; authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract adopting a service plan for the annexed territory; and establishing the initial zoning of M-1 (Light Manufacturing District) for approximately 275.67 acres of land, more or less, as described by metes and bounds in the attached Exhibit "A."

BACKGROUND
Texas Local Government Code Section 43.0673 requires a public hearing before City Council. The public hearing was held on January 20, 2026. The petition for annexation was presented before the Planning and Zoning Commission on November 6, 2025 for a recommendation. The petition will subsequently go before City Council for final reading of the ordinance on March 16, 2026.
