Consideration to authorize the purchase of two (2) units of heavy equipment for the Solid Waste Department from French Ellison Truck Center, LLC from Laredo, Tx. in the amount not to exceed $445,040.08. The heavy equipment units are composed of the following: Two (2) 2027 Kenworth T880 Day Cab Dump Trucks. The purchase of this equipment shall be made utilizing the Sourcewell Contract #032824-KTC. Funding is available under the Solid Waste 2022 Certificate of Obligation Issue.

BACKGROUND
The purchase of this equipment is part of the renewal and replacement program the department has in place. The equipment purchase will reduce environmental risk, and ensure continued landfill compliance and operational stability on the Solid Waste Department.
