Authorizing the City Manager to donate two (2) 2011 Gillig 40 ft. diesel buses from the City of Laredo - Laredo Transit Management Inc. (LTMI) to Southwest Area Regional Transit District (SWART) in Eagle Pass, TX. The donation will be “as is,” and the City of Laredo shall assume no liability for its use following transfer. Both buses have been fully depreciated and hold no monetary value.

BACKGROUND
On January 12, 2026, SWART provided an acceptance letter to LTMI accepting the donation of the buses. SWART provides public transportation services throughout the Middle Rio Grande Region, including urban transit services within the City of Eagle Pass, Texas.
The vehicles being donated are described below, both buses were purchased with FTA grant ARRA #TX-96-X001-01. FTA and TxDOT have been notified about this donation.
