A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Laredo, Texas, authorizing the City Manager to accept and enter into a continuation contract from the South Texas Development Council for the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) Grant in the estimated amount of $144,420.00 for the term period from September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2027, with no match for the City of Laredo Public Health Department. Funds will be accounted for in the Laredo Public Health Department Fund - HOPWA Grant.

BACKGROUND
The City of Laredo Public Health Department seeks to continue its partnership with the South Texas Development Council (STDC) to continue to provide eligible participants comprehensive housing rental assistance, and/or utility payment assistance to meet the needs of low-income persons with HIV/AIDS in the Health Services Delivery Area which include the counties of Jim Hogg, Starr, Webb, and Zapata.
