PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
On January 22, 2024, City Council award construction contract FY24-ENG-08 Father McNaboe Park Basketball Court Metal Shade Structure project to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder Mage 4Group Ltd Laredo, TX, in an amount not to exceed $699,725.00 which includes alternate #1 plus $10,000.00 contingency allowance for a 76' x 214' roof, LED lighting, 12 new basketball backboards and goals, wire mesh to prevent bird nesting, and material testing. The construction contract time for the project is 90 working days. Funding is available in the 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2023 CO Bond District VII Priority Funds.
BACKGROUND
The City of Laredo will solicit and receive bids for a new metal roof with metal columns structure or metal roof with reinforced concrete columns structure installed over existing reinforced concrete basketball court. The shade structure shall include lighting, wire mesh to prevent bird mitigation, new basketball goals and nets. The project is located at 102 Zebu Ct. This project is not located within a Special Flood Hazard Area.
