Authorizing the City Manager to submit a grant application in the amount of $469,978.00 to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for Fiscal Year 2023 Section 5339 Replacement - Capital Support Vehicles Grant Program. Funding will be will be used to replace two support vehicles to help maintain a safe, reliable, and efficient service. These two support vehicles have exceed their life expectancy and the cost to maintain is more than to replace. FTA share is $375,982.00 (85%) and local match of $93,996.00 (15%). No financial impact at this moment.

BACKGROUND
The Grants for Buses and Bus Facilities Competitive Program (49 U.S.C. 5339(b)) makes federal resources available to states and direct recipients to replace, rehabilitate and purchase buses and related equipment and to construct bus-related facilities, including technological changes or innovations to modify low or no emission vehicles or facilities. Funding is provided through formula allocations and competitive grants.
