PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION

During the April 15, 2024 regular City Council meeting, Council motioned to proceed to second and final ordinance reading as submitted.

 

BACKGROUND

As of 2006, the City has been accepting online application that allows job seekers to apply for positions 24 hours a day/7 days a week (including holidays) with an average of 15,595 applications received per year. Thus amending the number of days a position must be advertised from working days to calendar days. Also, amending the authorization of overtime and compensatory time approval from the City Manager to the respective Department Director.
