Consideration to renew annual supply contract FY22-047 with Gonzalez Auto Parts, Laredo, Texas in an amount of $225,000.00 for the purchase of automotive batteries for the City's fleet vehicles. All batteries will be secured on an as needed basis. The term of this contract shall be for a period of one (1) year beginning as of the date of its execution and is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds. There was no price increase during the last extension period. The contract can be renewed one additional one (1) year extension period, upon the mutual agreement of the parties. Funding is available in the Fleet Maintenance Fund.

BACKGROUND
This contract establishes pricing for the purchase of automotive batteries for all City vehicles. There was no price increase during the last extension period. This is the second of three extension periods. The term of this contract shall be for a period of one (1) year beginning as of the date of its execution. This contract shall be the responsibility of and administered by the vendor and the City of Laredo Fleet Department.
