PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION

On June 10, 2024 a presentation was done to City Council recommending a pilot program to modify the garbage/recycle work schedule from four (4) to five (5) days.

 

BACKGROUND

The Solid Waste Department working in conjunction with the Fleet Department are recommending going back to the previous four (4) day garbage/recycle work schedule. By going back to this work schedule, the Fleet Department would gain an additional day to work on Solid Waste equipment which would reduce downtime.  It would also comply with the City’s growing demands, and provide a better service to the residents.
