The Goodman Corporation staff, Ms. Monisha Khurana and Mr. Jonathan Brooks, will provide a presentation of an overview of the Laredo Micro-transit Feasibility Study, which examined the role of micro-transit as an option to provide additional transit service. It will include an overview of the peer review, feasibility assessment, proposed zones and an implementation plan with recommendations on introducing micro-transit in Laredo.

PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
The Laredo & Webb County Area Metropolitan Organization (LWCAMPO) solicitated proposals from qualified firms, and The Goodman Corporation won the bid to conduct a feasibility study to determine if micro-transit is a viable service model for the Laredo public transportation provider, the Laredo Transit Management, Incorporated (LTMI) locally known also as “EL METRO”, in Laredo, Texas. This project is included as a one-year study in the LWCAMPO Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Unified Planning Work Program identified as Subtask 5.2 - Micro-transit Feasibility Study. Technical proposals must be prepared in accordance with the goals, objectives, requirements, format, and guidelines presented in this Request for Proposals (RFP). The Goodman Corporation consultant is familiar with transit operations, administration and budgeting; identifying transit rider demand; determining transit service areas; developing transit service implementation plans; and have experience with, or are familiar with, micro-transit services. This include familiarity with the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Section 5307, 5310 and 5339 Grant Program funds.
