Public Hearing and Introductory Ordinance authorizing the City Manager to accept and enter into a contract from Texas Health and Human Services Commission for the HIV Clinical HIV/STI Prevention in Community Health Centers Grant, amending the FY2024-2025 budget by appropriating revenues and expenditures in the amount of $345,283.00, with no match for the City of Laredo Public Health Department for the term from January 1, 2025 through December 31, 2025. Funds will be accounted for in the Laredo Public Health Department Fund - HIV Clinical HIV/STI Prevention in Community Health Centers Grant.

BACKGROUND
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission contracts with the City of Laredo Public Health Department for the HIV Clinical HIV/STI Prevention in Community Health Centers Grant. Through this award, Laredo Public Health will be able to provide individuals and communities most vulnerable to HIV and STI’s with access to comprehensive HIV, STI, and HCV testing as well as expand biomedical prevention access.
