Consideration to authorize the purchase of fifteen (15) APX1500 Enhanced 7/800 MHZ mobile radios from vendor Motorola Solutions, Inc. utilizing the Houston-Galveston Area Council of Government (HGAC) Cooperative Purchasing Program Contract No. RA05-21 in the amount of $55,857.60. Radios will be installed on the new CNG buses. Funding is available in the El Metro Operations Fund.

BACKGROUND
The APX1500 radios will be installed on the new CNG buses that were ordered through Federal Transportation Administration (FTA) funds. El Metro will be receiving a total of nineteen (19) CNG buses and will need to add 2-way radios on each bus to ensure the drivers have a communication method with transit hub.
