Consideration to award a professional services contract to KCI Technologies, Laredo, Texas in the amount not to exceed $203,000.00 for FY25-ENG-14 City of Laredo Welcome Signage Monument Project for the engineering design services requiring surveying, design, and construction oversight of two Welcome Signage Monument for the City of Laredo. Funding is available in the Convention & Visitors Fund.

PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
On October 3, 2022, City Council approved the selection of consultants for RFQ FY22-ENG-36 General Civil Engineering Services for construction projects FY2023 - FY2026, and authorizing the Interim City Manager to negotiate professional service contracts for each respective project assigned on a rotation basis. Professional service contracts will be issued per project upon funding available for a two (2) year term, with one (1) option for a two (2) year renewal, for a total term of four (4) years beginning October 4, 2022, and ending September 30, 2026. Thirteen (13) firms responded to the Request for Qualifications on or before Thursday, September 1, 2022, at 4:00 P.M. The evaluation committee recommends the selection of the following consultants based on the final rankings below:

3.Sherfey Engineering Company, L.L.C., Laredo, Texas
4.Crane Engineering, Laredo, Texas

7.Stanley Consultants, Inc., Austin, Texas
8.Parra & Co., LLC., Laredo, Texas
9.Scheibe Consulting, LLC., Austin, Texas
10.K Friese & Associates, Inc., Austin, Texas
11.Do-Rite Engineering, LLC., Laredo, Texas
12.Valdez Engineering, San Antonio, Texas
13.Ramos Engineering, PLLC., Laredo, Texas
Funding will not exceed $50,000.00 per project, per vendor in the respective budget account unless authorized otherwise by City Council. There is no financial impact at this time.
