Authorizing the City Manager to enter into and execute a Memorandum of Agreement (“MOA”), attached hereto as exhibit A, between the South Texas Development Council (“STDC”) and the City of Laredo for the Management of the South Texas Regional Radio System (“STRRS”) and the Advance System Key (“ASK”). For one year term beginning October 1, 2024 at an annual fee of $40,000.00; Payable quarterly in four equal payments of $10,000.00. Funds will be deposited in the Information Technology Fund.

This MOA has been approved by the City Council annually since 2011.
BACKGROUND
On November 20, 2023, City Council approved Resolution 2023-R-213, authorizing the City manager to enter into and execute a Memorandum of Understanding between STDC and the City of Laredo for the management of the STRRS and the ASK for one (1) year period for the same amount beginning October 1, 2023.
The region represented by STDC includes Webb, Zapata, Jim Hogg and Starr Counties.
