BACKGROUND
With the expansion of the South Laredo Wastewater treatment plant in 2014, four 250-hp pumps were installed. These pumps are reaching the end of their useful life of 8 to 10 years. Two pumps have been replaced, the last two will be replaced as they break down. This equipment operates continuously, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year. This operation is critical in maintaining discharge permit requirements with TCEQ and EPA.
