Authorizing the City Manager to execute a two-year contract with Samsara, Inc. for the purchase of the Samsara Software licenses for El Metro Fixed Route Bus in the amount of $124,613.00 and Paratransit Operations in the amount of $36,301.00 for a grand total of $160,914.00. This software will provide real-time visibility, business relevant tools, and analytics that enable El Metro operations to increase productivity and reduce operating cost. Funding is available in the FTA grant TX-2024-001 for Fixed Route Bus and Grant TX-2020-027 for Paratransit.

BACKGROUND
Samsara is a GPS tracking software and that consolidates all the telematics and safety tools into one unified Connected Operation Platform so you can seamlessly switch between compliance, safety Dash Cams, vehicle maintenance, dispatch, across your vehicles, assets, equipment, and sites. This software will facilitate the Fleet Operations, tracking, and reporting for El Metro staff.
