BACKGROUND

Texas A&M International University with the collaboration of the City of Laredo Public Health Department is conducting a study focused on the challenges managing Type 2 Diabetes among Latinos in South Texas. This study is being sponsored/funded by TAMIU Presidential Research Development Award where forty participants will be recruited by sharing their experience as someone diagnosed and managing Type 2 Diabetes. Study aims will provide beneficial insights into the values, health beliefs, and barriers influencing disease management among this populations.
