Discussion with possible action to cancel the City’s current version of the vacant building ordinance (ORDINANCE No. 2021-0-152), adopted in 2021, and initiate the development of a new ordinance with public input from the Downtown Business Improvement District (BID), the Downtown Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) #1, the Economic Development Advisory Committee (EDAC), and other relevant stakeholders.
Adoption of any new Vacant Building Ordinance shall be contingent upon the simultaneous creation and approval of a corresponding incentive policy to support revitalization efforts, and any other matters incident thereto.
