BACKGROUND
On September 26, 2025, the City experienced a major break on the existing 36-inch wastewater line. As this line serves as one of the primary collectors to the South Laredo Wastewater Treatment Plant, it was imperative to immediately provide a bypass to prevent raw sewage from entering the Rio Grande River and causing contamination. Given that Rain for Rent had the necessary equipment readily available and was capable of responding without delay, the City engaged the company to perform the emergency bypass.
