BACKGROUND
On June 24, 2025 a total of four (4) garbage trucks caught on fire. Three (3) are Solid Waste and one (1) rental from Big Truck Rental (BTR). Texas Municipal League (TML) concluded that all four (4) trucks were a total loss. Consideration to authorize a drawdown of $818,089.77 to replace burned rental garbage truck and equipment purchase.
