A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Laredo, Texas, authorizing the City Manager to execute all necessary documents to accept the donation from Murphy Oil USA, Inc. of the surface estate only of approximately 1.31 acres of real property located at 6516 McPherson Road, Laredo, Webb County, Texas. The donated property consists of an approximately 1.04-acre, 50-foot-wide right-of-way parcel and an approximately 0.27-acre parcel out of Lots 2 and 3, Block 1, Amistad Acres Subdivision, as more particularly described in Exhibit “A.” The appraised value of the donated property is $680,000.00; and providing for an effective date.

BACKGROUND
Murphy Oil USA, Inc. entered into an agreement with the City in August 2026 for the transfer of property and related improvements in exchange for the donation of approximately 1.31 acres located at 6516 McPherson Road. The property includes vacant structures and the site formerly operated as Little Harvard Academy daycare, currently zoned B-3 on the west side of the property, for future public use. The donation also included the dedication of a 50-foot-wide right-of-way along Jacaman Road. As part of the agreement, the City completed the required traffic signal modifications and improvements at the intersection of Jacaman Road and McPherson Road.
