Consideration for approval of FY24-ENG-09 Maria Elida Benavides Restroom and Sidewalk ADA Project as complete, including all warranty certificates, release of retainage, and final payment in the amount of $17,830.00 to ALC Construction, Inc., Laredo, Texas and approval of change order no. 1 to balance final quantities. The final construction contract amount is $101,800.00. Funding is available in the 2022 Certificate of Obligations Fund- District 2 Priority Funds and the Community Development Fund.

PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
On August 5, 2024, city council approved to award a construction contract to the lowest, responsible, responsive bidder ALC Construction, LLC., Laredo, Texas, in the amount not to exceed $101,800.00 for the FY24-ENG-09 Maria Elida Benavides Restroom and Sidewalk ADA Restoration District 2 Project for the total base bid, additive alternate #1, and including a $5,000.00 contingency allowance. Funding is available in the Community Development Fund- 2021 and 2022 CDBG Grant Years and 2022 Certificate of Obligations Fund- District 2 Priority Funds.
BACKGROUND
This project consists of reconstructing a concrete sidewalk to make it ADA compliant as well as restroom restorations that include the following: 500 SF. of concrete removal and concrete sidewalk, ADA ramps, door widening, minisplit installation, wall painting, counter replacement, tile installation. Construction contract time for the project is (60) working days.
