PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
On June 2, 2026, City council awarded a construction contract to the lowest, responsible, responsive bidder Quantum Construction LLC, Laredo, Texas, in the amount not to exceed $445,745.05 for the FY25-ENG-08 City of Laredo Health Department Site Accessibility Upgrades Project for the total base bid including alternates 1 and 2. Construction contract time is 130 working days. Funding is available in the 2017 Certificate of Obligation Issue Fund, 2017 and 2023 Certificate of Obligation Issue Funds Mayor's Priority Funds, and Public Health Fund- EMS Waiver Funds.
BACKGROUND
The Project consists of upgrades and renovations of the exterior accessible routes including parking areas, ramps, stairs and sidewalks. Construction contract time for the project is one hundred and thirty (130) working days.
