PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION

On August 14, 2025, City Council approved a 2.5% Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA), 1.5% adjustment to the wage schedule and 1.5% tenured achievement adjustment pay to all qualified City of Laredo Employees.

 

BACKGROUND

For FY 2025–2026, City Council consideration includes approval of a 2.5% Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA), a 1.5% wage schedule adjustment, and a 1.5% Tenure Achievement Pay for eligible employees. These adjustments aim to preserve employees’ purchasing power, support workforce retention, and promote fairness in alignment with rising living costs.
