Authorizing the City Manager to accept and execute the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for the FY2027 Grant No. STATE-U-2026-LAREDO-3520 in the amount of $586,592.00, no local match is required. Funds will be used for operating expenses of the preventative maintenance division. The grant period will be from September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2027. Funding will be available in the Transit State Operating Grant Fund.

BACKGROUND
On June 24,2026, the Texas Transportation Commission approved the minutes to award $107,966,561.00 in state and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) program funds to support a variety of public transportation needs in rural and urbanized areas of the state. An award of $5,182,847.00 of these state funds were designated to the transit district serving the large urbanized areas, of which Laredo is included.
