BACKGROUND
The current Laredo Police Department SWAT tactical vehicle “BearCat” is over 20 years old. The BearCat is used during SWAT call-outs on high-profile criminal cases. The replacement of this tactical vehicle is imperative for the protection of our sworn personnel. The “BearCat” offers protection in dangerous scenarios, including active shooter, barricaded suspects, response and rescue and high-risk warrants.
The purchase of this vehicle shall be made utilizing the TIPS - The Interlocal Purchasing System, Contract No. 210907 Automobiles.
