BACKGROUND
On April 7, 2026, the Laredo Mass Transit Board Approved to submit the grant application to the FTA for the FY2023 Section 5339 Buses and Bus Facilities Program for the purchase of support vehicles with Lake Country Chevrolet utilizing a TIPS USA contract and to replace the LED Digital Monitors in the Transit Center Lobby to help make our riders experience easier, faster, and less stressful. It will provide real time information, reduce confusion, provide information in multiple languages which improves overall rider experience.
