BACKGROUND
Currently, regularly scheduled Planning and Zoning Commission meetings are held on the first and third Thursdays of every month. Due to the December holidays, the Planning and Zoning Commission requested that staff evaluate the feasibility of canceling the second Planning and Zoning Commission meeting in December 2026.
During the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting of July 2, 2026, Planning Staff recommended Thursday, December 10, 2026 as the date for the sole P&Z meeting of December 2026 in order to comply with the “shot clock” provisions of state law requiring a 30-day plat consideration deadline.
