Authorizing the City Manager to approve change order No. 1 in the amount of $115,491.76 and increase of 200 working days to the contract time. This change order is required to complete the City of Laredo Sports Complex - Lift Station Project, adding material not included in the original contract and delay on easement acquisition. With this change order the contract amount with Southern Trenchless Solutions of La Feria, Texas will increase the contract to a total of $3,054,594.01 and 350 working days. Funds are available in the Sewer System Fund- 2022 Sewer Revenue Bond.

On September 5, 2023, the City Council approved the construction contract to Southern Trenchless Solutions of La Feria, Texas in the amount of $2,939,102.25 with a contract time of 150 working days to execute the contract utilizing Buy Board Cooperative Purchasing Program Contract Number 635-21
BACKGROUND
The project was not part of the original CIP Bond sale. Funds from the Sewer Line Rehabilitation will be transferred to fund this project. The new sport complex will require a lift station to pump the sewer to an existing gravity line. The project consisted of the installation of 2,480 linear feet of 8-inch gravity sanitary sewer line to discharge into the proposed duplex lift station 5,685 feet of parallel 6-inch and 10-inch force main and related appurtenances.
