PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
On March 3, 2025, City Council awarded a construction contract to the lowest, responsible, responsive bidder Zertuche Construction LLC, Laredo, TX in the amount not to exceed $1,180,333.00 for FY24-ENG-50 North Central Park Inclusive Playground Phase II Project for the total base bid including a $20,000.00 contingency allowance. The construction contract time for the project is 130 working days. Funding is available in the 2024 Certificate of Obligation Bond and Capital Improvement Fund.
BACKGROUND
The Project consists of the construction of an inclusive playground park facility consisting of different play areas and includes concrete pavement, asphalt trail, metal canopies, play mounds with synthetic grass, sand play area with composite board deck, and water trough play element. The project includes sitework grading and utilities, site lighting and associated electrical and plumbing work.
