Consideration for approval of Amendment No. 9, an increase of $97,546.00 to the professional services contract with KCI Technologies, Laredo, Texas, for the West Laredo Corridor - Flecha Lane/Las Cruces Re-Alignment Project, for additional engineering Services, including utility coordination, update construction contract documents, update signal design, revised culvert design, resubmit bridge plans, update environmental assessment and reporting. We received a letter of approval from TxDOT on December 29, 2023, to proceed with the amendment. Current engineering contract amount with this amendment is $671,616.00. Funding is available in the Capital Improvements Fund.

PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
On September 5, 2023, City Council approved Amendment No. 8, an increase to contract time with KCI Technologies, Laredo, Texas, from August 31, 2023, to August 31, 2030, for the West Laredo Corridor - Flecha Lane/Las Cruces Re-alignment Project, for completion of the construction documents, bidding, construction of the Las Cruces Drive realignment and 5 year monitoring of the potential Las Cruces mitigation site at North Central Park. Final construction plan revisions will be completed by April 2024. There is no financial impact at this time.
On December 4, 2017, City Council approved Amendment No. 7, an increase of $23,920.00 to the professional services contract with Puig Engineering, Laredo, Texas, Laredo Division of Civil Engineering Consultants for the West Laredo Corridor - Flecha Lane/Las Cruces International Re-alignment Project, to update to TxDot 2014 Standard Specifications for Construction and Maintenance of Highways, Streets, and Bridges. We received a letter of approval from TxDot on November 15, 2017, to proceed with the amendment. Current engineering contract amount with this amendment is $574,070.00. Funding is available in the Capital Improvement Fund-West Laredo Corridor - Phase II.
