Authorizing the City Manager to submit a grant application in the amount of $9,022,377.00 to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for Fiscal Year 2026 Section 5307 Urbanized Area Formula grant program. The FTA Share is $4,977,863.00 and Local Match in the amount of $4,044,514.00. Funding will be used to cover part of the operating expenses (50/50) and capital preventive maintenance expenses (80/20) for El Metro Operations. No Financial Impact at the moment.

On March 31, 2026, Federal Transit Administration announced the posting of the funding tables, which provides the full year spending authority. The tables represent close to $14.6 billion in formula funding to transit agencies and communities to support public transportation throughout the country.
