PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
During City Council meetings held on June 15, July 27, and August 3, 2026, City Council discussed the development of regulations for Data Centers within the City of Laredo.
BACKGROUND
The Ordinance proposes to establish a comprehensive regulatory framework for Data Centers within the City of Laredo. The ordinance is intended to ensure that Data Center development occurs in appropriate zoning districts while addressing potential impacts related to water consumption, infrastructure demands, buffering and screening, noise, lighting, fire protection, and operational standards.
