Authorizing the City Manager to execute a (3) year service contract with the Laredo Center for Urban Agriculture and Sustainability (LCUAS) in the amount not to exceed $160,000 per year, for a total amount of $480,000, contingent upon budget availability. Funding is available in General Fund.

PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
On April 2, 2018 City Council approved a motion to fund a service agreement with LCUAS to be created for implementation of goals, services and tasks for urban agriculture and sustainability programs. On May 6, 2019 City Council approved for the creation of the local government corporation and approving the certificate of formation and bylaws.
BACKGROUND
As approve by council under budget appropriation. The Organization shall utilize funds to share the mission of developing and implementing policies and programs that support the growth of urban agriculture and environmental sustainability practices in the City of Laredo.
