A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Laredo, Texas, authorizing the City Manager to accept and enter into a continuation contract from the Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, for the Laredo Assisted Outpatient Treatment Program Grant through a No-Cost Extension with the City of Laredo Public Health Department for the term period from July 31, 2026 through January 30, 2027. Funds will be accounted for in the Laredo Public Health Department Fund - Laredo Assisted Outpatient Treatment Program Grant.

BACKGROUND
The Department of Health and Human Services continues to contract with the City of Laredo Public Health Department to provide intensive behavioral health services in the Webb County region. Through the Laredo Assisted Outreach Treatment Program (AOT), the City of Laredo Public Health Department is able to improve access and adherence to intensive behavioral health services and focus on providing intensive case management, outreach services, HIV/STD testing, education, risk reduction, as well as primary care for individuals with serious mental health conditions.
