This purchase is for a new security camera system for the Federal Inspection Station/Customs and Border Patrol building at Laredo International Airport. Funding is available in the Laredo International Airport Fund.

BACKGROUND
The Laredo International Airport needs a new security system at the FIS/CBP Building. Convergint has provided a proposal to the Laredo International Airport that outlines the services needed by LRD.
The security proposal covers security system services that include:
Scope of Work
1. Convergint will provide and install 1 Avigilon recording server for the Laredo International Airport (FIS/CBP Building).
2. 20 new cameras will be replaced at the building with the existing cabling being utilized. No new field cabling will be installed at this location. Convergint assumes that all cabling is in good condition and can be re-used.
3. A new equipment rack will be installed on the wall in the adjacent room to the IT
room in FIS/CBP. A new network switch with UPS will also be installed. Existing
cabling will be extended from the city of Laredo cabinet to this new cabinet.
4. Customer will need to install a new power circuit at the location for the new equipment rack. The new equipment rack will need to be bonded and grounded when the new power circuit is installed.
5. Convergint will configure all the cameras into the Avigilon VMS. Convergint will require a new IP address for the new server. City of Laredo IT Department will need to be engaged to provide and help configure. Convergint will load the Avigilon client software on up to 5 client computers.
6. Convergint assumes that all work will take place during the work week and during regular business hours. Some down time will occur as the cameras are transitioned from the old system ...
