BACKGROUND

The City of Laredo will enter into and execute an Interlocal Cooperation contract to become a participant in the University of Texas Rio Grande (UTRGV) Regional Security Operations Center (RSOC); both parties acknowledge that it is in the best interest of the community to execute this agreement to allow the City of Laredo’s Information Systems and Telecommunications (IST) department to leverage the no-cost cybersecurity services and guidance provided by the UTRGV RSOC.  The term of the agreement is indefinite but can be terminated upon mutual agreement of the parties upon sixty (60) days written notice from the terminating party to the non-terminating party.
