BACKGROUND

Requests for bids were published through Cit-E-Bids and 4 bids were received.  This bid included 6 sections; SECTION 1: renovations to the LPD Communications Center such as removing walls, windows to expand the area, remove 28-year-old worn out acoustic wall carpet and install a new acoustic wall drywall, remove and plug toilet, remove any water pipes and plug water source, etc.  SECTION 2: removal of orange tile from LPD Headquarters front and courtyard and replace it with artificial carpet grass.  SECTION 3: install artificial turf to the entire front of LPD Headquarters.  SECTION 4: install sound proof to 6 interview rooms in LPD CIB.  SECTION 5: build a covered roof for the processing of vehicles involved in criminal incidents.  SECTION 6: lighting in the front of LPD Headquarters.

This award contract will only be for Section 1 to the lowest bidder Royal Contractors, Inc. in the amount of $99,400.00.

Contract vendor will be required to furnish a satisfactory payment bond in the amount of 100% of the total contract price.
