Authorizing the allocation of $270,000 from the District V Priority funds for the development and construction of four pickleball courts at Jovita Idar Park. Funding is available in the District V Discretionary Funds (2023 Certificate of Obligation Bond and 2024 Certificate of Obligation Bond).

BACKGROUND
Councilman Ruben Gutierrez desires to build Pickleball Courts in his district, given the popularity of the sport, Pickleball, and how the two existing Pickleball Courts at Canizales Park (District 8) and Divine Mercy Park (District 6), have obtained such popularity among Laredoans. The Jovita Idar Park is centrally located and is an ideal location because of its visibility along Bartlett Street.
